Almyrida Villa is privately-owned and bookings for the self-catering accommodation are made directly with the owners. Travellers and holiday-makers are increasingly experiencing the benefits of making their own arrangements rather than following the traditional “package-holiday” process. Airlines and travel companies are recognising these changes and are making it much easier to book flights and make other independent travel arrangements. Air flights: PLEASE NOTE: we are not able to arrange air flights on your behalf but will make every effort to try and help you with your arrangements. Charter flights usually run from May to October and fly direct from major UK airports to either Chania (which is about 30 minutes from the Villa) or Heraklion (about 1½ hours). They all fly on Tuesdays. Scheduled air flights from the UK (usually BA or Olympic) all transit via Athens. They fly every day and all through the year. EasyJet fly Gatwick to Athens where you can connect to an Olympic Airways flight to Chania. The following telephone numbers and websites are just a few suggested to help you find your way:
