Almyrida Villa sits on the side of a hill on the edge of
the sleepy village of Kokkino Horio, on the Apokranas peninsula
in northwest Crete.
There are spectacular and uninterrupted views across the
Souda Bay to Akrotiri, to the open Mediterranean, and to the
White Mountains which form the backbone of this part of the
island.
The village of Plaka is about 2 km away and the small beach
and sailing resort of Almireda about 3 km, which takes about
5 minutes in the car. Chania, the second largest town in Crete,
with its fascinating harbour and Venetian architecture, is
about 20 minutes by car.
From the small church in the centre of Kokkino Horio village
a gravel track runs for about 400 metres past several other
villas before you come to Almyrida Villa.
Sitting in its own one acre plot and built in 2002 the villa
includes Almyrida Villa and Almyrida Cottage as well as a
private 8 x 5 metre swimming pool (depth 0.9 to 1.5 metre).
