Almyrida Villa & Cottage  -  northwest  CRETE

The Villa has a spacious open-plan living room on the ground floor, leading into a large kitchen.  Two sets of double-doors lead from the spacious living room onto the shaded main terrace,  with quite outstanding views of Souda Bay, the Akrotiri Peninsula, and the White Mountains.  A few steps down leads to the 8 x 5 m freshwater pool, with a depth of 0.9 to 1.5m.  A large terrace surrounds the pool, again with the uninterrupted views.  The pool is gated-off to help safety for small children.   And there are plenty of sun-loungers and pool-side furniture. 

The 3-bedroomed Villa has a twin-bedroom on the ground floor and a flight of stairs leads to two further bedrooms, a twin and a double, each with their own en-suite bathroom.  The double bedroom has doors leading onto  a private sun-terrace, with views over the gardens and the same exceptional views enjoyed from  the main terrace.  There are two twin sofa-beds in the living-room, which can make 4 separate beds if required. 

The Cottage, which could be for your teenage children, your parents or ‘in-laws’, or for another family in your party, has a bedroom (twin-beds) and a living room with a twin-sofa- bed, so can sleep up to 4. 

A small flight of steps lead down from the main terrace to  There is a bathroom and the fully-equipped kitchen is part of the living room area, and the rooms are air-conditioned.  Double-doors lead from both the bedroom and the living room onto its own totally private terrace, with outstanding and uninterrupted views across the Mediterranean and Souda Bay.  

A large basement area under the Villa table has tennis, table football, and a pool-table, all of a high quality.  In the living room there is a large-screen TV with satellite connection, a DVD player, and a substantial sound system with iPod dock, so bring your own music.   

We have tables and chairs outside, and a small B-B-Q, so you can eat on the terrace while you watch the sun go down.  The gardens around the Villa and Cottage include roses, fig, olive and pomegranate trees, oleander and bougainvillea, and even some English roses.  There are plenty of private and shaded spots for when you want to hide away !
